Wingate Subdivision is one of the classic neighborhoods in Clarksville TN. The first homes were built in the 60's and the subdivision expanding off of Dunbar Cave Rd. after that with new homes filling in on the vacant lots in the recent years. The lots are really spacious and lend themselves well to the sprawling ranch style homes that were so popular in the 1970's-1990's.
The terrain is gently rolling so many of the homes in Wingate have basements. And because it was very common to finish the basements into living areas, these home have lots of square footage.
The location across from Swan Lake Golf Course has always been a plus and there are many golfers that choose to live in Wingate. It is not a huge subdivision and some of the lots do touch Red River. As forconvenience it is very convenient to shopping at Govenors Square Mall and restaurants on Wilma Rudolph Blvd.
What does a home in Wingate cost today? They range from $200,000 to over $400,000. There is never a lot of moving in and out of Wingate as people like their homes so much they tend to stay.
The schools are Rossview and this too pleases families with school age children. For more information about the bus service and school times check out the website.
There is no HOA and even so the homes have retained their values and yards look nicely manicured. For a quality built home in Clarksville, Wingate is a solid choice.
